LPSC have had temporary tattoo transfers made for Age Groups. If you would like some of these they are being distributed to the coaches over the next few days and can be purchased as 3 for £1.00. Each of the tattoos comes with full instructions and should last between 3-5 days.

Our congratulations go to Leicester Penguins member Conor Percy who took part in the British Schools Modern Biathlon semi-final's on Sunday 29th January at Macclesfield Leisure Centre. After finishing 5th overall Conor has now qualified for the British Championships Final to be held at Crystal Palace in March.


The Modern Biathlon comprises a 100m swim and a 1000m run with points awarded for each discipline.

We have been advised by Leicestershire ASA that it has been necessary for them to make some significant changes to the programme of events for the 2012 championships. The revised programme is included below.


This change is as a result of an extremely high number of competitors entering the Championships this year and the Health & Safety requirements at both Loughborough University and Braunstone Leisure Centre.

We are now seeking a highly motivated Coach, with good communication skills looking to gain coaching recognition with a club competing on the national stage.



It would be expected that applicants would be qualified and licensed to ASA coach Level 3 (or ASA coach Level 2 wishing to progress to Level 3).

The first competitive Long Course outing of the year at the City of Derby Open at Ponds Forge saw some stirling results from our swimmers lead by Alasdair Wicks comming 3rd overall in the 10yrs Boys BAGCATS.

Age group winners included William Smith who won the 9-years boys, Molly Tomlinson was top of the 12yrs girls and Georgia Amison top Girl in the 14yrs and over age group.


There were many more individual event winners that resulted in Penguins finishing as the Top Club with 632pts well ahead of Blythe Baracudas who finished in 2nd place with 408pts.
